I was highly delighted yesterday to find that I had won the 'best in exhibition' from the guild exhibition last week. The piece was Connections I (scroll down to see picture). Thanks to any one reading this who voted for me!
I am a retired Primary school teacher living on top of the Yorkshire Wolds in the UK. I had to leave teaching because of health problems and have since started a second career as an artist. My main occupation is embroidery, designing and working to commission, persuing my own more contemporary mixed media work and working as a volunteer 'Broderer' at York Minster one day a week.
I also dabble in other things such as doll making, stained glass, and botannical art.
